Dear fellow 2CV racers,
I was wondering where I can find the rules on what stickers, numbers etc we have to put on the car (how big and where on the car?). Can anyone tell us. I need to know, so we can start finding sponsors for the races next year. I cannot promis a spot on the care if it is not available (due to race numbers etc..)

Kind regards,

Roderik

Take a look at www.2cvracing.org. If you keep digging, you'll find the info there.

Actually, apart from the strip at the front over the grille and the door number panels, there are not too many restrictions. If you move the door number panels (which are issued free by the 2CV Racing club) right forward up to the front edge of the door, that creates quite a big space for your partners logos. A trick is to place some of the required minor club 'sponsors' stickers on the rear surfaces of the front wings (fenders?), facing backwards. That meets the regs, but does not take valuable space which you can sell.

Which Uk races do you plan to do ?

We are trying to organize a team and car for the 24h race in GB (Snet or Wales) and the 24h of Spa next year. But due to all the changes in the club it is not making things easier. We still do not no a date for next year or any way to know for sure that the 24h race in GB is going on as planned at all.

Kind regards,

Roderik (Holland)

The location of the 24hr in '08 would either be Snetterton in Norfolk, where it has been held for the past four years, or possibly Pembrey in Wales, along the coast from Cardiff.

We raced at Pembrey yesterday and they have new facilities which make the circuit practical for the race. Now, it only needs a bridge.

The date looks certain to be a late weekend in August.
