Just for info, at Silverstone this weekend we excluded a driver from one of the races because he ignored the Black and Orange flag that was shown to him three times, and he then ignored the subsequent Black flag four times.
His licence was endorsed with four penalty points.

Moral of the story? Make sure you are aware of the flag signals, and check the flag posts at the start line if you see the Black and Orange or Black flag for the number of the car. If it is your number, come into the pits at the end of that lap.

There is only one excuse for not coming in (and I have used it!), but I'm not gonna share it with everyone! (you also need witnesses!!)

Apologise to the C-o-C before the reports come in. Worked for me....

Derek, That can only work if you know that you overtook under the yellow flags.
I think we had at least two cases in each of the practice sessions and races on Saturday, not one of them realised that they had done it!
I don't think any of them got fined / points, which is a bit confusing considering that Pete and Steve got both in our first race of the season! It is a question I will be raising in the new year at the MSA seminar
Just be careful! I believe that at Snett yellow flag offences will be dealt with by "drive thru" or "stop go" penalties (as last year). Fine as it doesn't cost the driver any cash or points, but it will be a penalty to the team
Cheers

Correct for 10 points......it was a few years ago, though.

As a marshal it is great for our morale that a club does take flag infringements seriously, and action the reports accordingly.
We do not want to see drivers suffer financialy or lose track position. But we do like to see good, clean safe driving and if one of you has an unfortunate moment we would like to help knowing we are safe. You guys are the most marshal friendly club I know and I have been marshaling for over 20 years. I am eagerly looking forward to Snetteton this year. Jusst praying that the weather is much kinder than last.

Please, please please come back to Cadwell.
