you would be better buying an old race car and updating/restoring it .That way you get rollcage etc already installed.there are a couple of cars i know of for less than £2000 that would make good road cars with cages in.

Pardon my ignorance but what exactly would I need to do beyond putting bumpers back on and MOT'ing to put one on the road?
