Citroen 2CV6 1986 'C' Registration  61000 miles

SORN
Last MOT 2007
Non-runner due to seized starter motor.  The engine turns over smoothly with starting handle.
Last run approximately two years ago and was always a reliable starter (before the starter motor seized)

Good Points
Chassis (non-galvanised) has always been well greased and oiled and so is sound
Body work is very good overall.
Recent new roof
Engine runs very well (before starter motor seized!)
Brand new front bumper (requires fitting)
Rear wings have been trimmed as a nod to the 'Raid Afrique' 2CV's of the early seventies.

Bad Points
Seized starter motor
Vent strip is rusted beyond repair
Rust hole on 'A' pillar beside windscreen will need filling.
Rear boot missing handle (can be opened/closed with diy tool)
Rear wings have been trimmed as a nod to the 'Raid Afrique' 2CV's of the early seventies.

I bought this car in 1993 and ran it as my main vehicle until I bought a boy racer car in 1998.  It toured France and Belgium and never let me down.  My father and I maintained it meticulously (the king pins were greased every 500 miles on the dot) and I have never seen oil stay as clean between services as it does on this 2CV.
However, since '98 it has only been run occasionally but has been garaged throughout.
I was hoping to spend some time working on the cosmetic bits that are letting it down and bring it back to its former glory.  However, a young family and work commitments mean that I don't have the time to do so.  I will be sad to see this go but hopefully someone will get as much pleasure out of this car as I have had.
