When can you remove your 'Novice' black cross on yellow background from the back of your car?

Once you have 6 signatures on your licence (or upgrade card as it is now).  I don't believe it is actually a requirement to get the signatures (why would you, unless you wanted to upgrade?), so I guess you just have to complete 6 races.

I thought the same Matt, thought I would just see what someone else's take on it  ;D

Please read the regulations before giving advice....
Straight from the Blue Book

Q 11.3 On any car driven by a person who has not
received six car race signatures on his National 'B'
Licence, there shall be on the back of the car a yellow
square, 7in x 7in, with a black diagonal cross, with
strokes 6in long and 1in wide.

Simon
Get the signatures.....
Some days, it's REALLY difficult being me!

Hi Trev, since I started Ive collected the signatures but have never done anything with them, don't need to upgrade my licence - I see that there is talk of giving you two signatures if you are doing endurance racing.

You dont need to do anything with them unless you want to upgrade. Just keep the relevant licences that have them on to prove that you have complied with the reg regarding the novice cross.
And yes, saw that. A good idea and about time too! Won't come in till 2014 I believe though!

The signatures also provide you with a record of what you've done.....which you can show to your grandchildren when you're old and decrepit.....

Warning: I'm old and decrepit, I had an International C now lapsed to National A, I also have four grandchildren...but none of them are interested. Magic racing at Donington by the way...
