Nice to see you all yesterday for the season opener, 17 cars on the grid little disappointing especially as I saw and spoke to a couple of 'Ex' 2cv racers wondering around the paddock who both have cars sitting at home and quite obviously still have a passion for Racing 2cv's otherwise why bother coming to watch! Good to see a couple of new drivers too out playing with us, so the series still has a lot to offer.
Sorry to see two cars very badly damaged, although from where I was sitting I could see it unfolding, first with Nick the lap before - well done to Ash who went from Eco to Club good effort yesterday, Mr Sparrow how do you go so fast!!!!

For me I am not sure what the rest of the season holds due to work commitments, if I can be at the rounds I will stay safe all of you.

We would like to say a big thank you to the many people who were kind and encouraging on the first outing of March Hare racing. For us a good day, learned a lot went home with a the car in one piece, our establishment worked and speed will come with time.

Just to echo Simon's comments.
Good weekend but...
17 cars, that's not great when we had such a great showing at last years first event, 24 cars?
Come on people, team up, do what you can. If you want to keep racing these cars we'll need to get a few more out than this.
What can we do to help?
The older I get, the more rubbish I talk
(and the more pills I take)

We were entered and even had a decent track day on the 5th.

Unfortunately myself and Chris Templeman who works on the car then had flu leaving us very little time to solve the recurring electrical problems that appeared again at the end of the track day. Myself and Chriis Hall were all set to go, but decided better of it on Friday evening after a day spent trying to get it working properly. The issues have now blighted Cadwell and Croft last year and forced us to miss Oulton. It would have been dangerous to have entered as the car was liable to cut out at any given moment.  Frankly we didn't fancy another weekend of misery and pestering for help. We have replaced every single electrical component- some have been changed multiple times. So it wasn't a quick fix for someone to help with at the track. We've ran points, lumenition, 3 different batteries, 3 different alternators, 3 different coils, multiple HT leads, several new plugs and as I said, every wire has also been replaced. Both internal and external kill switches have also been replaced.

It's almost like the car knows it's time to go racing so it p#**es around again... It was working well over the winter and was ran frequently around the industrial estate where it's kept. We had also fixed the suspension- ie all 4 corners were sprung- unlike Cadwell where myself and Chris were driving a misfiring car balanced on two springs.
