I'd just like to take a bit of space up to say thankyou to all the people that helped make a very sucessful 2005 for car 28.In order of ugliness they are:-
Geoff Archer
Paul Roberson
Dave Walker
Gary Adnitt
Andy Bull
Oli Sparrow
Thanks also goes to:-
Co-operative Bank
Mrs Katrina Sparrow
Miss Sarah Valentine
Miss Sammie Fritchley
My kids and my mum and dad
and especailly my oldest groupie Mrs Iris Buckland (age 91)

I have to say I am a bit embarrassed by my results because it goes against my idea of one make racing,I always imagined it would be a bit closer this year but I hope that by selling the car it means that I'll get a chance to race again not just ponce round at the front all the time.A win is not always a good race.
I have given out as much information (that is mine to give) about what makes a car fast to as many people who would listen,if anyone wants to know the secrets the just mail me with questions or give me a call and I will happily tell you what I know.I think this would make the club better for everyone, sorry if you think I'm wrong.
As far as engines go,I ran 5 different engines by 3 different engine builders during the year and won with every one, whats more they were all very different.Make sure you look at other items on your car before you blame an engine.Engines,no matter how good they are,do not win races on their own.Don't believe the hype.

Now I feel better.Thankyou.

Congrats Pete!!

Hope to still see you out there next year, maybe you could give everyone an advantage and build your own engine

On the subject of help,I've spoken with Paul and Dick Roberts and we are going to update the site as far as useful information goes.
It would be really helpful if you could post ideas of thing you can see are not correct or that need adding.I will be in contact with Dick when he has returned from France.
For example we would like to have a list of suppliers of race specific parts like arms, buffed tyres etc
We will also look at a 'dating' service where drivers and cars can be put together at sprint and enduro meetings so that it is cost effective to put the car out for both races.
Also glad to see (at the moment) I'm not up my own arse.Truth hurts see?

I've found this really good supplier for every 2CV racer.

Good engineering.
Parts at trade prices.
Helpful advice.
Race qualification upgrades!

Makes some of the worst coffee I've ever attempte to drink.

Step forward - Pete Sparrow!

Don't be modest - you deserve a mention as well as the championship!
