Well are you ? Only a month to go .
:oNo!!!
No engine
No shox
No tyres
Yes and no; there's some stuff I'd like to do and might not get round to, but I've done most of the stuff that I need to. Steering, for example.
I got a new exhaust on the car but have yet to noise test it. Oh, and my dad washed it! :P
What did your dad wash ?
I think we should have another round of "Panas Predicts" for the championship, come on "The Ginger Mystic" it was very good for the 24. ;D
And no, Father Time is running too fast, no engines or brakes.

All the welsh mud off the bottom of the car after my scenic tour of Pembrey :-[
Whos the favourite for the championship this year then? :-\
That reminds me, I think mine still has Snetterton mud on it. The grass that was growing on the chassis seems to have gone though.

I particularly liked the prediction of 15 or so top ten finishers........
not got a car yet, might be running it....
Err - I mailed off my Championship registration weeks ago, and no entry forms have been received. I called BARC, and a lady said that they were way behind a Anita was on hols. She not very helpfully sent me another set of Championship regs.
I had previously tried to register on-line but got kicked out.
I'll call again this week, but has anyone else had any similar probs? It's all very annoying as we want to give our new lipstick pink spoiler a run.
Martin,
I sent my application off weeks ago, finally got the entry form pack end of last week, having also rang to find out that they couldn't process my application even if they had it, because people were on holiday! So I registered online as well, so maybe I'll score double the amount of points :D
Entry closing date for the 1st race is March 17th (next monday) in case your wondering.
Matt
I understand from steve that those who have registered for the championship are considered to be entered .
Got barc registration + entry forms,
Got 2008 License,
sent off 2cv membership with cheque but heard nothing !!!!! ???
I've not had 2cv membership come through yet either, but the cheques been cashed
I'm not worried about non-appearance of the racing club membership card (apart from supposedly having to have it with me at meetings...); the licence and BARC registration stuff's arrived so as long as the rest's in hand I'm happy. No confirmation slips from BARC for the entry forms though.
That's a point, I need a new silencer, thanks for the reminder.
Derek
I hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but you should worry about non appearence of club membership cards.
It is my understanding that BARC are going to be getting tough with people that do not have the correct paperwork this year( which includes 2CV Racing Club membership details) at sign on! If you do not have ALL the correct paperwork, you don't sign on!
I do recall seeing Anita giving a few drivers who did not have complete details a hard time last year, so be warned!
If my car hasn't arrived, I will take a copy of my bank statement showing when my cheque was cashed as well as when I wrote the cheque (at the Dinner Dance!)
Hey Pete
You could always use mine, as long as you don't mind the colour ;D It looks like I will be out of the country until November.
Paul I still need that engine, as you never know 'thats show business'
Hi Trev,
That was why I added the caveat; I've never been asked for it before but I've always had it in the licence folder anyway. If there are no cards, as long as BARC can be furnished with a list of who has paid and they're happy with that, I'll still be happy.
The other "must-have" was the car/engine logbook; I filled mine in carefully and no-one wanted to see it.
