Title: 2CVParts.com Championship standings
Post by: Matthew Hollis on April 15, 2009, 13:12:02
Hi all,

Don't know if anyone is keeping a record, but as I have to do it for Snails Pace I thought I should share it.

I've assumed everyone racing was registered to score points, obviously if not then it will change things (but it will still be better than whatever the BARC come up with  ;D)

Helen,
If its a sore point maybe you should raise the issue for a rule change next season.
I noticed time and time again in the snails pace 2008 annual it was mention that mad Pete & I shared a drive last season (with various insinuations) but it allowed me to share the costs and come racing, this tactic was used to good effect by the 3rd & 4th place in the championship drivers at Mallory, but like Brawn, Toyota & Williams we race by the rules. ::)

Why don't you start a new topic with a poll maybe? if the feelings strong enough get it on the agenda for the AGM? Or get the committee change it under Item 9.1 of the articles of association that states "the business of the club shall be managed by the board who may exercise all the powers of the club."

:o  its not a sore point. Its nice to see it on the standings because then we can tell who was racing against who. I find it helpful to know which driver I was racing because the styles are different.

That is the only reason they are there - so I know who was racing what car in what race.  If there were insinuations in the annual then I am sorry, they are not meant to be offensive and are probably unintentional (I don't have a copy to hand to check).  It has to be pointed out that people are sharing in the race reports for them to make sense.
