In my internet searching for a car for next year I have stumbled across this;

http://www.carandclassic.com/car/C99221/
Says that they are all without engines and gearboxes, but that he can get hold of them "quite cheap"
can i ask a question if i was to get a car with out an engine what type of engine do i need to make it a legal engine?
i'm tempted... to get one...

Cars always become available with cages fitted ,this is by far the best option unless you have loads of time and space(let alone cash)
what time of year do the cars with cages come up. i did see one on ebay which i think has been mentioned on the forum. i know it has a cage already. i don't mind doing some work but could do with the cheapest route really as i'm currently a student doing a degree in motorsport technology so don't have much spare cash.

You just have to keep looking,you could ask chris yates to put your details in the wanted section with a sticky on it so it doesn't get lost in the mists of time.
