Title: 2CV racer in Nashville, Tennessee
Post by: Chris Yates on October 29, 2009, 16:45:46
This one looks like it last raced in 2003 - it's got the Auto Trader logos on, and the names of the drivers entered in the 24hr that year.

Looks like it sold for $10,000 in May!  :o

How and why did it make the journey over to the USA?

Chris,
some years back, this place  < http://lanemotormuseum.org/ > was looking for another 2CV racer to add to their collection.
Nick Woodward's car was available, so it headed off to Nashville...

Ken
( Looks as though Jeff Lane is thinning out some of his Citroen stuff, as the other 2CV racer is on offer as well.)

Ah, that explains it.. Good to see it fetching quite a price upon resale too!

Norry's car is in a museum in the USA as well; don't know where though.

Derek,
guilty as charged on this second count.   ;)

Although it seems to be described as a Yacco when you search through the museum's exhibits...  ???

Ken.
