Title: oulton park race day
Post by: gadget on May 30, 2010, 15:18:50
just a message to all our team to say thanks for all your help.everyone worked so hard in not the best of conditions.
we were also well looked after  by our 2 dawns again, thanks to them.thanks also to the Rockhopper developement crew
who have transformed the handling of the car,it now gives excellent corner exit speed and grip through the corners.i think we seem to
have the webber working well now that we have implemented the Mallory secret modification.it just goes to show how going back to basics can sometimes be a good idea.it's all very well having good top speed, but if it won't go in and out of corners it aint no good.
looking forward to Croft,let's hope it's a wet one.cheers all,The Norfolk Pikey

I was impressed with the performance at the weekend - it's about time to see the Gadget Boys back on top!!  It's amazing what 3 boys in wellies and a chicken shed can do - well done Gadget. ;D

well barney,
it's nice to hear that someone is interested in our racing.
if you go onto utube i think there is the coverage of the mallory meeting from 2 weeks ago.
you will see from that just how good our racing is,close ,4 abreast stuff and quick through the corners and usually there's only a fag paper between trhem on the finish line.it wasn't quite like that this weekend,i don't know what the others were doing in qualifying,i think they must have had a late night and i caught them half asleep, and in race 2 i think simon drove it as a dry race and the others, who had been out in race 1 were driving it as a wet track.but then again, simon can be very quick as he demonstrated at snett last year.but he is also a very good driver, well that's what he's told me!
cheers,The Norfolk Pikey

cheers andy, nice to hear from you.
unfortunately we didn't have time to get steve's car up to the same spec, but having seen the difference it made at oulton, without a doubt we will get his car to Rockhopper before Croft.unfortunately its not something that is simple,it has to be programed to the car to start with and them can be set up for the next circuit via sat nav telemetry.the problem we have is we can't dail this in for snetterton, because they can't allow for all the variables,ie,tyre wear, pit stops etc.we may have to get the Rockhopper crew down to snett for the weekend and see if they can sort something.hope to see you at croft in july gadget,THE NORFOLK PIKEY
