Hi all
There is an opportunity for us to repeat the televised race meeting at Mallory Park.
It will consist of 2x10min qual sessions and 2x10min races with rolling starts, to be shown live on Motors TV.
The race would have to be a non championship event and would have an entry fee circa £400.
If you would definately enter this race please confirm to
[email protected], without a guaranteed grid
we cannot comitt to this event.
Cheers
Philip
Yep but when is it?
end of May.
I understand that the date would be Bank Holiday Monday, May 30th.
We'd normally be doing Prescott that w/e, but if the race is confirmed, we'll do that instead. After all, it won't be hard to do better than last year.
Realised this week I cannot make Oulton due to family date clash. I can make May 30 so add me as a definite if it is that date.
Its now last chance time. If we are to do this meeting we need to commit by tomorrow.
If I don't get enough positive response we'll have no option but to withdraw.
Philip
Thanks for all the positive confirmations.
This event will now definately happen.
Hopefully a few more of you will be able to commit to this event as time goes on, so that we can put another good show on for the telly.
Philip
Good news Philip - well done
If you wish to enter the mallory Park televised event please complete the attached entry form and send to Philip with your payment before 30th April.
Thanks.
Jill :)

Have a good race - I will be watching you all in my local bar in sunny Tenerife 8)
The Mallory Park 2CV races are listed on the race paperwork as rounds of the 2cvparts.com Championship when we all know that they are not. That race title will be in the programme as it has already gone to print.
But today a last-minute deal was done and the races will be called the Dodo Juice 2CV Challenge. This will show on the TV screen caption and we'll brief the commentators on the change.
Dodo Juice is a quirky brand of car shampoo, polishes and detailing products. Take a look at www.dodojuice.com. We're grateful to joint MD Dom Colbeck for coming on board. The deal makes a modest contribution to club funds and there'll be a basket full of Dodo Juice products to be shared out by the podium finishers. Those will be brought to a future race meeting.
This tie-up gives the club the chance to show that a manufacturer can improve his bottom line by an association with us. Dodo Juice will be an associate partner at the PMWE 2CV 24Hr Enduro in August.
Good work Martin - love the slogan 'show me the juice' got shiny mint green all over it ;D
