Title: Brake pipe flare tool
Post by: Martin Sadler on January 26, 2011, 19:03:53
Hi, does any one know where I can buy (at reasonable money), rent, or even borrow a tool to make 2cv brake pipe flares? I have spoken to Roy at Ecas who recommended Pleiades 01487.831239. However they no longer sell them.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Thanks for the replys.

Sean would be interested if the price was right.

Paul, that would be grear - where are you?

Chris' Unfortunately no these kits cannot handle either the type and position of the flare or the bore of pipe. I did look into several of them and indeed have 2 kits including a very large Sykes kit that are no good.

Regards
Martin

Nope
one of these if you were really needy,  really rich or had a fleet of hydro-pneumatic motors to service
clicky (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Citroen-Brake-Pipe-Flaring-Tool-3-5mm-and-4-5mm-/190310537435?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c4f6458db)

Citroen of that era had a peculiar "Pilot and Bore" arrangement
