hi all.
Weber update
If anyone is not aware the Championship scrutineer has declared that it is permissible to re-jet the carb as you feel fit to suit your particular engine.
An amount of testing and development work has been ongoing with the set up of the Weber Carb. This has resulted in a number of alternative jetting set ups that are thought to offer advantages over the original. The club have made arrangements for this information to be freely available. Dyno run sheets for you to compare are attached of the best selection.
From a balance of power, drive-ability and fuel consumption the preferred choice of Tete Rouge is Plot 29.
This gave a run duration of about 2hr 20min at Snett. Gaining Fastest lap with the TR2 car.
Also TR1 setting very fast laps with this set up at Oulton.
The set up of each is as follows
Plot 29
F25 170 100
F22 160 80
Plot 23
F25 120 102
F33 160 80
Plot 24
F25 120 95
F33 160 75
Plot 25
F25 120 100
F33 160 75
Plot 19 Graph on next post as limited to 4 attachments.
F25 100 102
F27 160 75
All of the above used a large Aux venturi in both chokes.
A small quantity of the necessary parts to assemble the Plot 29 set up will be held in stock, let me know if you are interested in purchasing any of these parts. They will be available at Silverstone. You are quite welcome to buy the parts from any other supplier including Weber - direct. The performance on your engine cannot unfortunately be guaranteed!!
Hope this helps your performance.
Philip
