Title: Bringing it up to date
Post by: neandethal on May 24, 2011, 13:54:16
Hi,

I have bought a car that last ran in the 2006 24 hour race ( finished 4th, if that helps place it, No.50) and need to bring it upto current spec, dont suppose there is anybody local to Melton mowbray who would spend a weekend morning going over the car and putting us in the right direction, not planning to race it until next year as none of us have our licenses yet, can provide beer whilst working!!
Any help gratefully received,

regards, Ian.

I guess it's the Boss Hoggs Car ian.
If it raced in 2006 it should only need Toyo Tires to make it comply with current regs,if you want the weber carb that is available from phil myatt.
The only other recommendation would be to replace the valves for the club stainless ones and fit new valve springs at the same time.
