Title: inlet manifold - hole!
Post by: neandethal on January 14, 2012, 12:47:24
Does anybody know why there is a small hole on the underside of the inlet manifold just under where the carb mounts ( definitely drilled not corrosion), our carb seems to leak fuel out of this until the engine is running, why is there and should it leak fuel? doesnt seem logical, is it a left over from a standard engine and need blanking off? cheers for any advise, Ian.

To stop it flooding, if you are leaking fuel when running either the float height is too high or the float is touching the side of the carb.
