From what phil has said there are 5 new drivers at oulton, please note the new drivers briefing is at 8.00am,you MUST attend this. The location will be in your final instructions,if you need help to get your car and kit scrutineered whilst you are at this briefing then please ask.

5 new drivers. wow! thats very positive. I wonder how many cars are entered now? My brother is bringing someone along who is looking to purchase and run a car, so if anyone who currently has a car for sale is there it may well be worth coming to find us.

p.s. Thanks for the bits and pieces Paul. Haven't go round to fitting them yet but will be in place at Silverstone...

Alec.

Sorry to ask the obvious, but Oulton will be my first ever outing in a car, can you get your kit scrutineered even if you are not in it?

Yes - you don't need to be wearing it - in fact it helps if you're not!

Hi Guys, it will be our first 2CV race on Saturday too  :) and just wondered if the 8am drivers briefing is for first time racers at Oulton or is it compulsory if it's your first 2CV race?

Looking forward to meeting you all, see ya Saturday!!

If you have raced at the circuit before you should be ok .However, even having been on the podium before, i have been called to race control to explain why i didn't attend .So it's up to you.

Read Blue Book regulation Q8.1.11 and Q4.2.1 which explains who has to attend a new driver's briefing.

And be thankful that it doesnt contain the phrase "in the configuartion to be raced in" as it has done before....

Listen to the briefing (a few years back they altered the lights sequence at Oulton and it was only the driver's at the briefing who knew!!), ask any questions that you may have. Above all else, have fun!! You will have the biggest smile on your face after finishing!!

Can I also remind you about observing the limits of the track!!

Having had the reasoning behind the new penalties explained to me, please, please, please keep the cars on the black stuff!!

We're not racing this weekend but are both experienced 2CV racers so (assuming we can get tickets to get in) we'll be on hand to help out any newbies that want it.
