Post by: Matty on May 16, 2012, 19:08:20
Hey everyone, hope you are all well
I'm new to all this but trying to build a 2cv racer for the 24hr, I'm just a bit stuck on lowering, spoken to different people and keep getting conflicting info, do you have to change anything in the spring tube to fit new springs i.e the rods been told by some you have to get another set of the rear ones as they are longer and others say you don't, just wanting some info before I weld the caps back on, any help would be amazing
Cheers

If you sit the car on blocks (under the chassis) to give you the right amount of ground clearance and then offer up the endplate/spring/rod assembly, you'll get an idea of roughly how much of the rod will screw into the end.

They won't be too short then, you should be able to use the standard tie rods.
