Post by: Scuderia cavallino on May 27, 2012, 18:27:32
Is anyone else going to be at the practice session next Wednesday at Mallory?

No, but we did have a run up the hill with both cars in the sunshine at Prescott last Sunday. We thought you would be there.

Good to hear Prescott went well Martin. I was ready with cheque book poised. Perhaps next year...

Can I ask what times did you do? No idea how quick a 2cv is up there!

Frank - sorry - forgot all about your interest in having a run. As usual, everything was a bit last minute. Still, better than finishing off the cars in the Snet garage.

Cavallino: FTD was, I think around 48.0 sec. Both ours got to around 64.3.

All: It's a very tricky course, with Ettore tightening up on exit and the kitty litter coming ever closer. Hairpin is magic, into 2nd, wheel hard over, foot down as car goes up at about 45 degrees, and just hope. That barrier comes in sharpish as well. And at the top, a blind right hander, where if you slip off, you'll roll down a long grassy slope.

Nice time given our power!
Was pleased to get under 50 on saturday, but only managed 3rd in class loosing out at top.
But now a little unhappy with car, got new club weber on and made up a cable only to find we are missing a couple jets from the middle.
Seems little hope of getting any for morning practice, but gives us some time to get better sorted for monday.
