Title: LED lights, friend on a trip back from China...
Post by: jamesbromley on July 25, 2013, 20:41:18
Hi

Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks.

I had a friend in China, having him fill his suitcase with LED lights for me, any requests? I'm ordering a few too many intentionally as I'm sick of being ripped off in the UK.

30cm strips of LEDs  (guess about £2)
Powerful smaller strips that would I believe mean if you ran them as front back red/white you'd be safe if you lost standard lights from a regs point of view (my guess). (Guess about £4)
He has seen driving lights, but these are a bit high risk for me as not that cheap, although a bargain all the same (varies)
Girlie spinning value caps? (£4 for 4)

Any requests?!

James

Be aware that some of the strips run at 12v, but some is 24v. Stars are current-driven, but Maplins have little drivers that give 700mA off a 12v supply.

I'm worried about large lights taking mph off the actual car - they are all 12volt... will share a few pics if they ever arrive!
