Hi,
This is my first post so I am not sure how everything works, but am sure any 2cv owner will be helpful
I have just bought an old 2cv and am trying to "do it up" on the cheep.
could I fit  155 R15 tyres on the wheels ?

don't think so.
125 standard
135 I think ok on road car
145 we used to race on
155 I have never heard of on road car or race car.except in Belgium
no doubt someone will correct me shortly.

You could conceivably get them on a standard rim, but it will be a pig to drive, espescially on road and with stock suspension. You'll probably have trouble with them hitting the rear bump stops and you'll need to adjust the lock-stop bolts on the front arms otherwise the tyres will likely rub the arms on lock. You're better off asking "Does anybody have any useable 135s for sale".

155s are Beetle-sized, I think. Ask if anyone has part-worn Firestones near where you are. Where are you?
