Title: Fuel demand for Anglesey
Post by: Nick Roads on August 15, 2014, 06:52:55
Anglesey have a new fuel system for the 24 Hour race.
Its a 3000 litre tank and filling system.
They are to have a tanker with extra fuel on site for the event and will use this to top up the 3000 litre tank. They would like to know the likely fuel needs for teams.

My car (92) uses 11 litres an hour at max. 24 hours of racing, 2 hours of quali and 4 hours of testing would be the max I can foresee. We normally come with around 30 litres of fuel so I would estimate we need over 300 litres but to be safe would need 330 litres and was going to use that as a figure for UK cars. Anyone have a different estimate or need?

Euro hybrid engines are thirsty and 2CVT estimate:
3 – for 29 hours, let say 30 hours I think we need for a hybrid 2CV 566 liters fuel.

Mini Grand estimate they will use very similar amount to 2cv so 330 litres.
