Just wondered if you could pick 4 tracks for next seasons sprints which 4 would you pick ??
Mine would be
1,cadwell park
2,Croft
3,Brands hatch
4,Donington
but Oulton and Pembrey would be ok too lol
Snap!!!!!!! Would also love to do Knockhill in a 2cv.
Here would be my 4 least favourite:
Rockingham (ironically my closest circuit but its soulless, without character and on an industrial estate)
Silverstone National (Doesn't really challenge a driver, International would be ok)
Snetterton (boring in a 2cv in the dry, perhaps the old layout was better?)
Mallory (only because I've yet to complete a lap without at least one thing being seriously wrong- apart from myself, bogie circuit)
Cadwell
Mallory
Oulton fosters
Croix en ternois
Spa.
Pembrey, never ever .
Zandvoort
Long way to go for a sprint race :)
Brands, Lydden, Mallory, Croix.
Knockhill
Oulton fosters
Cadwell
Lydden
I accept spa is closer than Knockhill for everyone except Derek
Mallory always gives a good race
Pembrey was good this year
Ultimate is Laguna seca
A 10-lap sprint at Mallory is what it's all about. Frantic fun.
With a ferry from Rosyth, Spa is my closest (by road) track apart from Knockhill. We haven't had a race at Knockhill for over 10 years, have we?
Mallory is good.
lydden hii is brill.
cadwell is a must.
pembrey is a must avoid.
brands is always good.
knockhill is a long way to go for most. But if we were to do 2sprints and a 2hour,similar to pembrey this year, i think it would be popular.
Gadget, yes Gadget
Mick,
perhaps we could do a US tour and take in Daytona beach, indionapalis however you spell it!, and maybe a Canadian circuit on the way back.
might need to sort out a bit of sponsorship for this but who knows?
It's prob easier than it sounds. Container the cars out, hire a truck and Henry's your gerbil. Get a block booking on a plane. If the ship sinks, pub. I'm sure Roy would chuck in a couple of tyres
Indianapolis is an amazing circuit especially on raceday (crowd of 425,000 for the NASCAR saloons first time I went there!), went back the next day after a F1 Grand Prix to visit their fabulous museum (only $3 admission then - best value anywhere) - and discovered we could lap the GP circuit in our hire car behind the pace car for no charge...managed a lap of the oval circuit in a bus with an ex-Indy500 driver as well.
But if your going to race in the States, then Road America has to be up there with the best of them (check Youtube for footage).

A couple of years ago we were pondering the possibility of doing a 24hr race in Spain somewhere. Is that out of the question?
Track at Motorland would have been good for it but I think Spanish organisation killed it..
I've not done that many so to date;
- Cadwell
- Brands
- Oulton
- Anglesey
Controversial maybe but:
To Drive: Croft, Oulton, Silverstone, Donington
(you can keep cadwell)
Spend the weekend at: Cadwell, Brands, Oulton, Anglesey
For a party- it has to be Mondello, a lovely track to drive as well
Anglesey is my number one. Paul Leason won a very hectic sprint there for us back in 2003 and got FL. And we won the 24 Hour this year after 15 years of trying.
Second has to be Lydden Hill - great little circuit with superb viewing for spectators.

Brands, Lydden, Mallory, Croix.
Of course Mick...and Mondello.
Anything short and twisty....
Cadwell - amazing in/on anything
Oulton - full circuit
Anglesey - coastal or international
Croft
And obviously Spa (in something fast) for euro circuits and a mention for Dijon too.
If there is beers and fun i'll go anywhere.
