Title: Gearbox unwound, now locked in 3rd
Post by: Chris Yates on April 06, 2015, 23:11:15
Hi all,

The night before Oulton, I reversed my new car a little to line up with the trailer, and *clunk* - gearbox unwound.

I had a spare, but I've been trying to rewind the original. I've now managed to wind on the collar a few times, but each time the 'box is stuck in a gear - either reverse or 3rd.

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

All fixed now - I needed to loosen the selector forks more, then it all slots together. It all makes sense just after you've done it :D

upper case?
lower case?
the only cases we have in Norfolk are cases of beer!
you ask Mr sparrow.
has anyone ever heard of the old English saying about "mussels on Sparrow's knee cap"?
