Title: Class Debate
Post by: Scooterman on June 11, 2015, 12:23:03
There seems to be somewhat of a divide of opinion amongst us regarding costs, development and to find the best way forwards for reliable and cheap racing.

I propose we do away with Eco class (Ash will probably graduate, Hollis car was formerly club) and replace it with club class. Identical rules to current club, only stipulation is that you run a Solex. Cheap and reliable racing! I think this would be a good class to get some cars back on the grid. Compared to building an Eco, its probably a cheaper and easier option to buy a second hand racer, we are told there are lots out there doing nothing!

First Class would be for those who wanted to stick with the Weber development in which they have invested- that is where the costs mount up, rolling road trips etc.

Also, for identification purposes the two classes would have a different colour splitters. Possibly stickers above the windscreen.

Put it in as a proposal for the AGM to Richard Hollis.
