It appears the wrong information is being given out in the newsletter,
Number backgrounds surely must meet MSA regs which iirc are 33cm X 48cm, stickers that must be present at scrutineering are, the ecas stickers on the front doors and above the grille, the barc sticker under the a panel, tow stickers front and back, electric and fire ex stickers AND the number of the car in the rear quarter light at least 150mm tall prominently displayed, and the car number in the similar if not the same reflective as the door backgrounds in the front window.
Nice to see someone reading the Regs......
July 21 Newsletter
The note about stickers was about stickers, in the commercial sense, which is something that the regs say has to be advised to members by the Club. Those are simply the 2CVParts.com on the nose and the BARC stickers each side. There is currently no requirement, nor any restriction, to have the 2CVParts.com sticker also below each door number panel, although I am sure Roy would appreciate having them there if teams choose. Numbers and safety signage have, of course, to be in line with MSA regs.
As it happens, the requirement to have the car number in the near-side rear quarter window remains, but is really redundant when we race at Anglesey. It was a requirement at Snet, where the juxtaposition of the timing tower being on the outside of the circuit and the high barrier between the track and the pit lane exit barrier meant that timekeepers could not identify which car was leaving the pits as the number on the door panel was obscured.
Still, at least two members have read the newsletter, which is great. Any feedback is always welcomed by the Board, negative, neutral or positive.
I didn't say I read the newsletter, although it did help me as I could look at the pretty pictures :P
