I wonder if anybody can enlighten me as to the reason or reasons as to why the balance pipe is discarded in club class race engines.

It heats the inlet and therefore the mixture. Also stops a 2 into 1 exhaust working at tuned length.

Hi Paul. Thanks for information. Exhaust tuning seems to be something of a black art unless you know what you are doing
