Title: 24 Hr Commentary
Post by: Andrew Bull on September 13, 2022, 11:07:41
All,

Firstly thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of this years 24Hr race, and congratulations to all the class winners, and every team for making it what it is.

After an amazing Debut 24 for me and 3rd place, i finally got round to watching the you tube vidoes (well bits of them) from the live feed.
As always a great job done by the Commentary team, and Katy the roving reporter really brought a new aspect from the driver point of view too.
It is however glaringly apparent that the commentators at any point in time have no clue as to whom is in each car and have to resort to asking team members or guessing.

As an improvement for next year is there a possible way they may have access to the online info we submit / or do we look at a system such as is run by the C1 club with driver transponders?

Thanks all, see you at the DD

Bully

This would be really helpful! I believe it is something that is trying to be resolved for next year!

I would also like a comments section on the live footage, to make it more interactive for people watching at home and we could do shout outs

I think Katy did a fab job and it would be good if we could get more people like Katy (drivers, mechanics etc) who fancy trying something different, to be part of the commentating team!

Hi, all:

Edited shorts of the 24 Live Coverage

A Club volunteer has taken on the challenging task of editing the full 24 live coverage into initially a 10 minute and a 30 minute short.

No date yet, but a target is to have one ready for the Dinner Dance.
