Title: Drivers Rep
Post by: Andrew Bull on November 22, 2024, 18:30:52
All,

As Luca is spreading his racing wings, we will need a replacement Drivers Representative for 2025.
This is a minor role and is primarily for 'at circuits' where there may be a requirement to be contacted, or represent the club, and also as a support for any competitor, (whom may wish to have it) when called to the CoC for example.

Thanks
Andrew

Whatever the 2CV club and the Organising club want it to be, but DEFINATELY NOT attending a Judicial Hearing which they are not an interested party.......

That is, of course, right. They cannot attend the CoC.

However, there is a conversation to be had as what we are asking the Rep to do.

For example, it has been a perpetual moan that our races are shortened, in the view of some, unfairly. Is this an opportunity to improve BARC/2CV relations?

Obviously, the role must include passing on of  messages about timing changes, rounding up recalcitrant drivers (not that we have any....), checking the online notice board etc.

It might also include liaising if anyone does get themselves into hot water and, particularly given the Blue Book is soon to be the NCRs, having a decent knowledge of the contents.

Maybe one or more people? Maybe a driver assisted by a non-driver? Maybe a WhatsApp group to improve communication in terms of content and efficiency?

I have to say Bully, I think it is a bit more than a minor role in some clubs. It's a question of what we want I guess.

More than happy to put my name forward here.

I won't be driving next year so I will be able to commit to the role fully without any races getting in the way!

Cheers

Perfect Thanks George.  It is a minor role, however it has to be named in the regulations that are ratified.  Cheers
