Title: H.I.D Endurance lighting for winners
Post by: Pete Sparrow on November 22, 2005, 23:01:41
Dear all.
I can now get H.I.D lighting kits that will fit many applications (inc a 2cv if ECAS's H4 headlamp conversions are used). These are the very white/blue lights as seen on posh motors.2 different types are available - 6000k/white or 8000k/sky blue. These lights consume just over half the amount of power used for normal bulbs (35 watts but much brighter) so good for alternator life.
I have a set in my road car and they are very good.
I am trying to find out if I can get spot lights kits of the same type.
H1,H3,H7,HB3,HB4 are all 225 + vat and carrage H4 (has dip and main beam) 285 +vat and carrage.
I can also get hold of LED bulbs for most apllications, again good on power,a 21 watt bulb will only use 1 watt instead. There is a big power saving to be had if you add it up.
Please e-mail me if you are interested.

Sounds like a great idea, but just a bit expensive for my budget as I'm assuming you'll be raiding my wallet shortly for the cost of an exhaust system & shock!

21w option seems like a must do - would you like to do it as you have the car at the moment?

Thanks!

Lights again
If you are interested I can get either HID kits as listed above which you can fit into existing spotlights or now complete spot lamp kits.Units are small, light weight and will consume on 35w per light. The kits are £250 per pair + vat and should give years of service and are rather good.
I can also get the LED bulbs now for stop lights (382) rear side lights (207) number lights (festoon bulbs,264/42mm 269/30mm 272/38mm.LED bulbs will typically consume 80% less power than a standard bulb (5w = 1w LED)
Bulb pairs are around the £5 mark
Please email me if you are interested asap so that i can get them in time
