Title: Tyres
Post by: Catherine Noble on December 03, 2005, 16:58:59
Anyone any info on availability of tyres in the UK? What have people managed to get their mitts on size and make wise?

I'm struggling to get standard road tyres of any make currently, so curious to know what's happening with the race fraternity!

Black circle had quoted for Michelin 125 (four tyres at just over £200) was hoping for something that I could make last a bit longer!!

Have been running Firestones for nearly ten years (on the road) after destroying a set of standard Michelins within 6 months. The Fires would generally last a year and half which was a darn site better! Guess I'll need to learn to drive in a more sensible manner...!

However, beggars can't be choosers so may well be in touch in the next few weeks for a set of Michelins or at very least two as getting a bit baldy!!

Best wishes
