Title: Paperwork that must be available at race meetings
Post by: Trevor Williams on March 03, 2006, 12:28:05
All
Just a reminder about all the necessary paperwork that you will need to have in your possession at our race meetings this year:

1) Licence* (no-brainer)
2) 2CV Racing Club Membership card*
3) BARC Membership card
4) BARC Championship Registration card*
5) 2CV Racing Club Log Book* - part of the pack sent out with memberships. This MUST be filled in with engine details etc and details of engines used at each qualifying session and race.

Items marked * are MANDATORY and failure to have these available for inspection may incur penalties!!!!

I will also be developing a "Driving Standards Complaints Form" to be available at every race for anyone wishing to use. Further details later

Cheers

Trev,

I've received my pack for 2006 sans log book.

A mistake by BARC?

I think we need to know!

Rod,
The Log Book is an internal Club thing and will be included in the membership details sent out by Christine

What about temporary drivers?

Last year you didn't have to belong to BARC to be a co-driver for the 24hr.  As the guys coming to Pembrey with me are only doing so in order to practice for Snet, can I assume that they don't have to belong to BARC for the Pembrey meet as well?

Equally where do we stand with drivers who are using Pembrey as practice for Snet with regard to 2CV Racing membership?

Ben,
All drivers in the 24hour race must be members of the BARC. This is because it is a round of the Championship.
Also stands for Pembrey.
2CV Racing day membership applies to Pembrey as well.
You might want to check with Paul Robertson or Steve Panas as to what has been negotiated with BARC regarding reduced membership if only doing Snett and Pembrey

Ben/Trev,
The reality is that if you want to do Pembrey and Snet then FULL Barc is needed. IE £95.00. Snet only from BARC is £30.00. But if you want to do any races AFTER Pembrey then only the balance would be due to BARC.

Steve/Trev,

Sorry to be a pain but I just spoke to Nicola Bush at BARC and she reckons that co-drivers do not need to be members of BARC if they are just doing the 24hr.

As you say, clear as mud.

are the log books available at races as I'm not quite sure where mine is, in fact I don't even remember seeing it. Sounds like I better get one.
And what happens if its someone elses car?

I've got one (it was in with all the membership bumf) but no-one wanted to see it at Snetterton and I still haven't filled any of it in.
