Title: Competion car issurance
Post by: Pete Sparrow on July 12, 2006, 18:21:49
Dear all
As I have done a far amount of work on damaged cars from the 24hr race at Snet this year I would just like to say what a nice bunch of people Competition Car Insurance are to deal with.
I deal with lots of major insurance companies for normal insurance repairs, who frankly are tossers. CCI on the hand are not. They haven't given me a hard time about extra labour for making special parts or adapting stuff for the race cars which I wrongly expected. I would highly recommend them and I know that there are a few people very releaved that they took insurance out before the race.
Just thought I would pass on this golden nugget of information to all the people that crash a lot (Christian) unlike me.
It might be worth asking them for a deal if we insure 'x' amount of cars for next years race?

I get my road insurance (for the 2CV) from them, and they've always been helpful. Christine uses them as well, I think.

Ferkin cheek - I hadn't hit anything for years until the weekend.

Perhaps it was only noticable because I'd repainted wings the day before!

Speaking from an Australian point of view I can agree with Pete's comments - although it will be interesting to see how much they will charge me next year, after this years claim - that is if anyone will ever let me near their 2cv again.
