Title: Cheap as chips racing
Post by: rod stead on March 02, 2007, 23:14:48
There's an article on the Pistonheads website titled "Cheap as chips racing", encouraging readers to consider a number of series to race in.
That's the same Pistonheads that promote the Pistonfest, last seen at the 24 hour race in 2006.

They mention the following series:
Locost
Classic Touring Cars
Formula Vee
Porsche class 4
Mighty minis

We are conspicuous by our absence .......... or perhaps we're not considered to be "cheap" anymore!

Is this an accolade we should be proud of?

Mighty Minis is *not* cheap. Well, not as cheap as 2CVs anyway!

The article is more than likely the same as the one that appeared in Autosprot a few weeks back.
We never seem to get a mention in these because the majority of people who write them do not understand us or rate our racing
Cheers

They are also ill informed by saying "cheap as chips", as in the last year the chip industry has seen increases of over 100% and no longer considered cheap by any means. Chicken prices are falling though, cheep cheep!
