I didn't know Ken had made a galvanised race chassis, why would you have all that extra weight?

Galvanised would have looked nice on the road car for me ):

All of the race chassis which I've sold have been painted, never galvanized.
Is it possible that the vendor may have been somewhat confused?  ;)

@ Paul, the choice of finish isn't anything to do with weight saving, since an 85micron coating of zinc on all surfaces won't make much difference.
Instead, it's to do with limiting distortion of dissimilar thicknesses of steel metal in close contact, also ease of welded repairs if things ever go a bit sideways...
( Remember those galvanized road chassis with the top plate welded on prior to being hot dipped?
+/- 10mm on the top plate, if you were unlucky. )

I've not looked over the chassis personally so a liitle concerned around what Ken has stated. (at least its deffo a road chassis).
Ken, are you able to check your records on what you supplied to Pete?
Nick - Just keep tying Pete as he's a little difficult to get hold of.

In the mean time I will also try contacting him and clarrify.

p.s. looks like a little favour of a post causes me lots of hassel.LOL  ::)
