Anyone got a seat in one of the sprint races at Croft? Don't care what as long as it has wheels and it goes under its own steam.
Free car set up whether you like it or not. Must be cheap as VAT man is coming for me.
Ta.
have you tried Jim Henshaw??
;D
Jim is doing the season on his own and fancy a change.
If anyone wants a partner for Croft. Please drop me a line. (its not me)
Guy is known to be quick but no 2cv experience. will pay. :)

No garages for us i see.
Could be fun for the enduro
No Garages and we do all but the endurance race on Saturday so could be a busy Saturday
The original timetable had us doing both the quali for the enduro and the race on Sunday , all finished for 13:00 ! Maybe they swapped it around to evict the clubmans ha ha
Up to 19 entries now, pending a couple of payments.
Couple of points:
1) The final instructions include a timetable - this is "v1" and is out of date! Use the one from the separate link. Current timetable has both sprint quali and races on the Saturday PLUS then a separate quali for the enduro. The actual enduro race is the only event for us on the Sunday.
2) Note that the old assembly area is now Parc Fermé! So at the end of the quali sessions and particularly the race, you'll need to slow down as soon as the line is crossed so you can turn into PF. The assembly area is at the opposite end of the pitlane now, at the top of the garages.
08:30 for new drivers briefing, Saturday morning, in the middle of scrutineering.
So now as it's all changed we have a 15 mins session for the enduro qualifying.
2 drivers putting in 3 laps each
Gonna be tight if you want to make any alterations 🤔🤔
Gonna be tight anyway i can take 15 minutes getting my fat ass in and out of the car
I am sure little spoon will help!
Just a small point, our published regs say there shall be a 40 minute quali for the enduro!!
Is there a paddock plan for this weekend?
Paddock plan is with the final instructions, available on BARC website under events and tickets
Does anyone have a pair of new top quality front dampers they would like me to try at Croft???
Alternatively does anyone have a spare pair that I could borrow please?
Alec.
I will have a spare set of Avos Alec. I appreciate they're not top quality, but they do work! James Dartiailh borrowed them at Oulton so he could stop bouncing.
I have a set of protech's if you need a pair.
Congratulations to everyone involved in some of the best racing I've ever seen, especially the second sprint race. Watching that from the infield spectator area was just spectacular and speaking to the marshals on the post next to me it was clear they were enjoying it too, commenting that our cars might not be the quickest but they certainly are the best to watch. It's great to see so many colourful, well presented cars fighting wheel to wheel all the way through the field from lights to flag. You couldn't ask for a better advert for 2CV racing.
Thanks also to Wayne and everyone involved in the club BBQ. This club is as much about what happens off track as on it and having the chance to bring everyone together at race weekends, especially over some proper tasty decent food, is great.
I couldn't agree more, a fantastic weekend all round. Really happy for Ash Carter winning the second sprint, thanks to Katy and the Hollis's for the trophy presentation, and we get to do it all again in two weeks time! See you all soon.
Agreed Top weekend.
Some really smart looking cars now and a few new and welcome faces pecking at the old guard. Top Stuff. Great racing as ever.
Can anyone catch that Gadget Car!! its flying.. Top work Wayne.
Thanks to everyone that helped me in whichever way over the weekend.. which was almost everybody. ;D
Thanks Wayne and co, food was ace!
Top weekend, great battles in the racing, good craic with old chums an new ones too much beer. Only sorry couldnt stay for the enduro.
Big thank you to all who organised it
( and those of you concerned about my mysteryillness i made a full recovery! Wayne and Phillip thanks for the concern ;) lol)
