Dear all,
The club board is still hard at work (in tandem with BARC) in relation to running the sprint races at Cadwell and the 24hr race. There are many technical details still to work out and a lot will change before July/August, but we thought we'd give you all an update.
Below is the current entry list for Cadwell Park. This is a pretty good grid considering the circumstances, and easily enough for some good racing, and we are still hoping to receive a few more entries.
If you are on the list but not intending to participate, please let us know.
Race entry fee is £600 for those who have not paid and please do so by June 24th.
There will likely be extra safety measures and precautions in place for the Cadwell event at least. They are still being worked on by the BARC and MotorsportUK.
Refunds: For Cadwell Park, we're offering a full refund up to the Wednesday before the race for any reason, so you can feel confident of an entry with little risk if the measures in place at Cadwell Park concern you.
Here's the entry list so far:
17 Alec Graham Armageddon
24 Lien Davies Team Gadget Racing
33 Matthew Arrowsmith-Brown Team ECAS
45 Michael Fox Team Asquith
47 Richard Knight Grey Arrows Racing
55 Steve Walford Steve Walford Motorsport
67 Ronald Charles Mears Niggle2K Racing
70 Nigel Hollis Hollis Motorsport
73 Richard Hollis-Brown Hollis Motorsport
82 Andi Donaldson Reggie-Mental
89 Nick Crispin DD Motorsport
96 Chris Hall Pork Pie Racing
12 Mick Storey Rosie Racing
92 Nick Roads Crisis Racing
40 Chris Yates Muffin Motorsport
30 Sandro Proietti Baycon Racing
Excellent news Chris.I believe there is the possibility of a race after the 24hr,does this mean there is some sort of championship going to happen? Maybe we could split the 24hr race with points every 8hrs and have a 5 or 6 race championship.
As I have said before, Team Gadget Racing are not putting in an entry for Cadwell or Snetterton. We made a collective decision based on safety and necessity.
I am also quite surprised by the number of +70's on the list.
Have a great weekend and we will see you all next year.
Yes Paul
The Championship will consist of:
Cadwell Park 2 rounds.
Snetterton 24 Hour Race
A Possible further two rounds currently proposed as Mallory Park 11th October.
final decision on that and any other arising propositions to be made Mid July.
i'll discuss your points proposal with the board.
Can some one just clarify the length of the event, will it be a one day meeting as i am lead to understand the government guide lines state you cannot stay away from home over night, if this is the case there will be alot of traveling done for a two day meeting!!!!
BARC and MSV are both confident that by the race weekend camping will be permitted.
I cant speak for anybody else, but if you arent there i for one will miss you.
If you have any more concerns about the weekend feel free to call me.
At least then i get to hear your voice.. 😁
Are spectators allowed or is it pass only ? current track days are restricted . Ta
Well app sports at the moment are behind closed doors, from tennis footy andF1
Yes but I was looking for a yes or no. With Boris & crew making it up as they go along a decision would help.....
Regards
I think you would be better being kept locked up anyway.
Not for you, for us😜
You are probably right though it should be easier for the old cocks to race with a arrow every 2 meters to show the way.

Please find attached the first stab at a timetable for Cadwell Park. As you will see I have started later on Saturday to allow for any problems we might experience in getting accommodation on the Friday night although in talking to MSV they seem to be making plans to enable people to stay overnight at Cadwell should they wish to do so.
Hi all
British super bikes has now been canceled at Cadwell and moved to snetterton the week before our 24hr race!! here is what bsb have said
Cadwell Park. Quite simply, Cadwell is the jewel in the crown of the season and it's the weekend where the championship really celebrates the party in the park but anyone who's been to Cadwell will know from a logistical point of view it has the biggest challenge the season. We have to operate two pit lanes, there's a big migration of teams from the top pit lane to the bottom pit lane. Tented pit garages, just 19 of them that have to cope with all the superbike teams and you simply can't do what's expected now with social distancing and the more cautious procedures that are put in place, it simply wouldn't work at Cadwell for that reason. We're doing what we're doing to give the best opportunity to deliver a credible championship and allow us to put in all the operational detail to allow us to safely run it."
If we want a one day event we just have to ask BARC ( a lot of people feel that the socialising in the evening is dangerous eg 750 motor club) We are more likely to come to a one day event.
The list you have said are racing is wrong as it it includes people who signed up in advance or the year and have indicated will that the will cancel ...a bit disingenuous!
For an event at Cadwell I would need to stay overnight. At Cadwell, we have had quite a few events where we have raced last and had the race time cut. For these reasons I would prefer a two day meeting and an earlier race on the Sunday which is what seems to be planned. The race timetable with the late start Saturday means only one overnight stay which seems a good compromise
The event we are attending falls in to the same category as hospitality / leisure, and as such, from the 4th July many hospitality industries will be available.
From this date the racing starts, and for example;
The Caravan and motor home club are reopening many of their sites for stays from the 4th.
Travelodge and such are reopening and taking bookings for this date.
Thus i would expect that an overnight stay (with appropriate measures) is absolutely going to be allowed. If we cannot stay overnight and the expectations change, then the event falls into the same category and the event (as far as i can work out) would not be able to proceed either.
I am not sure yet whether I'll bring the entire family but I will be there and expect to be staying overnight without issue. We can have small 'distanced' gatherings of up to six people too, as per the current government guidelines, as long as we maintain the disciplines.
I'm not hosting a party for 12 in my van though!!!
See you at Cadwell
FAQ from MSV - Am I allowed to stay overnight?
This is not possible under current government guidelines, although we expect this to be relaxed from the first weekend of July.
Hooray!!!!

Interesting Aubrey,my understanding is that everyone on the list has been emailed and that none have replied to say they are not racing at Cadwell.
I also understand that those who asked for a refund (8 out of 14) have been reimbursed.
If you don't want to come to Cadwell you don't have to,if you want to come but not socialise fair enough, if you want to sit 2m from someone else and have a catch up then i can't see the problem with that either.
Personally i thank the board for continuing the effort to make this season work as much as it has.
As for the 24hr,it must go ahead this year, even if it makes a loss, because if it doesn't there are others who could replace us.
Hi Aubrey
Sorry if you think we aren't giving out accurate information.
to the best of our knowledge the information is accurate.
Who is it,do you think, that isn't coming racing?
