24h-Race / Re: 2015 24Hr

Logic would suggest that, if the venue is the same, and the cost is more or less the same, then why would the number of participating teams be much different. Surely this too will be more or less, the same. or am I missing something...

You'll also need lots of Beer and Chips but you can usually buy those there.

Looks like strong money next to the £2200  uk race. I wonder would they like a mini grand class? Might be able to give the hybrids a better run for their money in a mini.....

Remember to check your seats are in date and that all your attire comes up to fia standards.

Is it possible to have this footage recorded. I always think the club is missing a trick here from a marketing point of view.

can he get chrome spinners to fit the 2cv's?

Odd
It stated quite clearly in the programme that the championship is to be held over 9 rounds at 5 events? therefore surely Nick has a point  about what the event  is.. Or is this another area where the BARC wording contradicts itself?

No regulation regarding HANS.
other than that it's pretty standard.
Should all be covered in the blue book.

24h-Race / Re: Review of the 2012 Race - Comments?

Start time is irrelevent in my opinion although the traditionalist in me would angle for 4pm
looking at the other comments i think it's clear that the preference is to keep the race a one make (2cv without the derivatives) race. I have always argued that to start running the race as a mixed formula devalues the event. the evidence of this is clear in autosport where the main photograph of the event was of a car with a bmw engine. shame i think.
The correct way forward, as ever seems the most difficult. the best future for the race is to keep it a uk spec 2cv only race. to do this it needs to guarantee more cars than currently enter the event. to guarantee more cars it must do a combination of things.
1/ find a way to make more cars available
2/ raise the profile and publicity for the race to encourage drivers from other formula or other endurance racers over. such as the mini racers who originally wanted to hire 2cv's or teams from the fun cup series.
3/ keep the event cheap. so that cost doesn't hinder the interest.
