Hi Katy,
only one needed now, as my grandson and his dad are already sorted and planning to get to Cadwell in time for the first practice session.
I can't get there until later, so is there any chance of leaving a ticket at the gate?
( Will bring ID, such as pension book... ;) )

I'll have a couple Ken!

Talking of e-tickets, if anyone's got any tickets spare for Saturday (2 adults) which they'd like to sell, please get in touch.
.
#1 grandson still prefers 2CVs to F1, despite his dad's best efforts... ;)

Also, if an Ami 8 anti-roll bar has somhow found its way onto a 'Classic' Dyane, that will tend to increase a standard A-series Citroen's inbuilt tendency to understeer.    ;)

I wonder what kind of tire pressures do you guys run them in the UK classic class?
You use a lot less steering input compared to us in the EU classic class based on what I see on onboard movies. Maybe higher tire pressures?

Nigel,
in metric terms, I'd guess that's 1mm.
The OD of the lower barrel spigot is 83mm, with a 4mm wide bearing surface between the barrel and crankcase, so would a few of these be of any assistance?

For sale / wanted / Re: Fuel Gauge

Colin,
not 100% sure, but I seem to recall some race cars being fitted with a fuel gauge from a Citroen GS.
There are a couple of those gauges on Ebay at present, but worth checking here regarding their compatibility with a 2CV sender unit before going ahead with a purchase.

Chris,
marking the flywheel, as already recommended by Sean.

Checking the ignition timing with a strobe.

The amount of centrifugal advance you've given does seem low, unless someone's altered things with that intent, which makes sense for a race engine...  ;)

All of the race chassis which I've sold have been painted, never galvanized.
Is it possible that the vendor may have been somewhat confused?  ;)

@ Paul, the choice of finish isn't anything to do with weight saving, since an 85micron coating of zinc on all surfaces won't make much difference.
Instead, it's to do with limiting distortion of dissimilar thicknesses of steel metal in close contact, also ease of welded repairs if things ever go a bit sideways...
( Remember those galvanized road chassis with the top plate welded on prior to being hot dipped?
+/- 10mm on the top plate, if you were unlucky. )
