Hi Pete, yes it is valid, the rating is Snell SA2025, assuming you are happy with it.https://ebooks.motorsportuk.org/najd/p355

Note that you will need to buy HANS posts separately https://zamphelmets.eu/product/hans-posts/#description and also a HANS device (technically called FHR device in the regs) if you don't already have one e.g. https://www.gprdirect.com/helmets/head-neck-safety-hans/fhr-hans-devices/page/1/

Races (not 24 hr) / Re: Race costs
March 04, 2026, 08:33:11
Hi Ian, race entries are now £250 per race compared with £375 last year, and equivalent to the early bird scheme we had to run in order to generate enough income to pay for the races up front with BARC. The main reason the race by race cost was so much higher last year was to make the early bird scheme better value, but we don't need to do that now so it's reduced the entry costs for all and also allowed everyone to spread the costs over the year.

Ultimately the costs associated with track hire minute by minute are roughly the same regardless of the organising club, but it's the additional aspects of a race weekend (e.g. Recovery services, admin, staff costs etc) that can make the difference, and fundamentally the payment structure. All costs tend to increase by about 5% each year regardless. Hope that makes sense and we'll see you out on track this year?

As it's the final meeting of the year, we'd like to present all the remaining trophies for Lydden Hill and Oulton Park at the meeting tomorrow. Given the timetable, I think we should probably do two presentations:

1.15pm (during lunch break) - Lydden Hill and Oulton Park race 1
5.30pm - Oulton Park race 2 and Driver of the Day, Best Presented and Most Improved
*times subject to change

I appreciate people will want to get away if you have long drives, but it would be nice to top off the season with some trophies and will also give us the chance to celebrate the new champion (whoever that may be!).
