Have had similar issues - was there an incident somewhere last season that has caused stricter scrutiny?

I think the Board may have been influenced in including an Enduro at Pembrey by the number of hands that went up in favour (though not mine) at the AGM and I believe were slightly surprised!

General Discussion / Medicals

I have noticed there is a new requirement in the licence renewal process, if you require a medical and fall into the age categories below then you will need a resting ECG as part of the medical:
60
65
70
72
74
75 onwards annually

I don't know how many people this will affect or whether your normal doctor is able to carry this out, and at what cost, so if it affects you best to get it sorted sooner rather than later!

Missed my Tunnock - have they all gone?

Once again the table shows up the farcical points scoring system involving second drivers where it is possible to cross the line in last position in your only race and yet end up nearly mid-table - doesn't give much encouragement to those lower down. Are we not able to come up with something else? ( no offence John!)

Would it be possible for the club to try & negotiate a bulk buy price if this is going to affect most members?

That's the drawback of having a shared/ single driver option. Any increase in entry fees is presumably shared whilst the single driver has to find the lot which is surely a drawback to attracting more cars on the grid. Perhaps a modest single driver discount is a possibility?

Just learnt of another catch - the discount only applies for a renewal of a like for like licence so won't apply if you downgrade from National to Race Club!

I've been told by somebody who put the question over the phone to Motorsport UK that the minimum required licence to take part in the UK 2cv Championship is Race Club - do we know if this is correct? £56 difference between that and Race National! (before discount)

Aren't Bank Holidays usually wet?   😢

Thanks. Unfortunately 'Wee Fiona' suffered some serious injuries at the Mallory Park anniversary meeting and is still unwell. Hopefully she is due for some treatment soon and should be back next season fighting fit! :'😢 :)😂
