For sale / wanted / Race support vans for sale
October 13, 2012, 10:56:07
I have for sale 2 ex-Redbull F1 support vans.
Renault Master LWB in Silver fitted with Sat Nav, Tow bars, Tachographs and ply lined.
Registered on '11' plates with 23 and 25,000 miles.
Both in excellent condition with no body damage as you would expect from an F1 team. When collected from the Milton Keynes factory they were cleaner and more polished than my car! Unfortunately all the F1 livery was removed before I got them!
£10495.00 + Vat each. (these are listed at £26360 + Vat + RFL new)
Both will have the 25,000 service completed before sale and will come with the balance of the manufactures 3year/10,000 mile warranty, and breakdown assistance package. Finance available
Give me a call if interested, The vans are in Oxford for viewing.

Technical / Weber carb air leaks.
December 21, 2011, 23:00:42
I have been trying to acheive an effective leaf free mounting of the carb to manifold joint. It all started with one Keith Shoebridges engines at Snet that we didnt effectively cure. I've just started on my engines and its even worse! The adapter plate fits in such a way that there is almost 1mm of gap over the counter sunk screw head - thats an awful lot a lot of gasket goo. The leak is so bad the engine barley runs. Is that the correct way of fitting? Also the adapter plate shrouds the carb throughts badly. I presume we just flow them into the manifold? Any body got any ideas?

Technical / Re: Brake pipe flare tool
January 27, 2011, 13:02:48
Hi,
Thanks for the replys.

Sean would be interested if the price was right.

Paul, that would be grear - where are you?

Chris' Unfortunately no these kits cannot handle either the type and position of the flare or the bore of pipe. I did look into several of them and indeed have 2 kits including a very large Sykes kit that are no good.

Technical / Brake pipe flare tool
January 26, 2011, 19:03:53
Hi, does any one know where I can buy (at reasonable money), rent, or even borrow a tool to make 2cv brake pipe flares? I have spoken to Roy at Ecas who recommended Pleiades 01487.831239. However they no longer sell them.
Any ideas?

Thanks all, i'll first look at the rod arrangement and if unsuitable then i'll look at the cable (more costly) fittings.

Hi Steve,
Im in between Bicester, Buckingham and Aylesbury just off J9 M40. I've got my car reduced to bits at present and if you want to see where to look on one of these things I can show you all the critical points.
