At Cadwell there is 20 minutes "practice" and 20 minutes "Qualifying" sessions ...why not 2 Qualifying? end of problem

I did contact BARC and others who will remain nameless and the answer is no one knows! We are prepping the car but the thought of having to leave at 00:christ to get there for scrtineering is not appealing!

Anyone know how thick the perspex for the windows needs to be? (4mm?)

I am sorry to report that Meyrick Cox passed away on 1st November.

If we want a one day event we just have to ask BARC ( a lot of people feel that the socialising in the evening is dangerous eg 750 motor club) We are more likely to come to a one day event.

The list you have said are racing is wrong as it it includes people who signed up in advance or the year and have indicated will  that the will cancel ...a bit disingenuous!

First and Foremost it is not who legislates but whether you feel safe racing. I have been surprised how many have told me they will not be unless the Corona intuition improves greatly.

I do not think it is responsible for the board to deliberately organise a race if they know they will lose several thousand pounds just so they and a few others can go racing.

A quick poll of the likes racers should ascertain how many drivers will be out.  BARC can give us the last day to cancel without financial penalty ...then the board can take an informed decision

Given the numbers involved (presumably no foreign entries) this will be a big number for the 24 hour race.

Keep safe

Several People have told me they re definitely not going to Cadwell for all the usual reasons. I cannot help wondering if the club should be ensuring that they don't pay for the races off no one is going to turn up?

Also MSV will not allow two people who do not live in the same house to share a car so will be able to share a car at Snetterton let alone Mallory?

Keep safe

Congratulations and thank you to all who organised. Apart from being a really excellent smart stand it was superbly placed between the VSCC and HSCC stands. I spoke to several people who expressed their distaste with having to pay £1400 entry for a 25 minute race at Historic Silverstone etc etc.  There were some visitors who I really felt might be converted to racing with us.

I did say to Nick that as we live quite close I could stand in pretty much as required. He was looking for someone to take over friom him on Staurday after lunch. I am sorry but I dont know your real identity Maisie???!!! ;D Let me know details and where I can collect tickets

Also there is nothing in the 2CVGB diary of events for any of our races events etc. No idea who looks after this but....

How sad, such a lovely kind and generous man.

Super but small circuit, I raced a blown Morgan and an XK140 there in the eighties. Quite scary in parts!

General Discussion / Sporting Regulations
October 11, 2016, 17:17:18
I have been press ganged by Meyrick to chair this new committee,(his revenge for me telling him that it wouldn't take up much time!!)

The idea is that it will work alongside the technical committee but just deal with those topics that are sporting rather than technical. An instance of this could be the suggestion that we vary the points system. (Bernie has offered us all jobs if we can crack it!)

I am looking for volunteers.

We will probably meet no more than twice a year, so not too onerous.
