If anyone wants a "light" bit of reading, you can do no better that -

https://motorsportuk.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2025-NCR_Full.pdf

This is the COMPLETE rewrite of the Blue Book, which WILL be coming in to force for 2025.

I believe you can submit comments to:

[email protected]

I would suggest you do comment.......

It is not a quiet day, the circuit has been hired for a private event (on the Tuesday and Wednesday as well)

Just seen this very sad news. Simon was a character whose company I enjoyed on and off the track. Sincere condolences to  his family. RIP Simon

Which wouldn't get approved as it would contradict GR Q.12.24.9 and GR 12.28.5

Don't count on sensors working, most don't.

Write whatever regs you want for endurance racing, as the words "may be penalised..." are the pertinent ones in my view

Personally, I wouldn't reset penalties at all, and especially after driver changes. It is the car (team) that should attract the penalty

The attached proposed amendments to the regulations regarding Track Limits is out for consultation.

I would suggest anyone intending to race from 2023 onwards reads these, and then makes comment to the Race Committee of MSUK by the deadline of 20th February 2023.

If you don't, then these are likely to be passed at the MSUK Board Meeting on 12th April 2023 for immediate implementation

Calling the membership that votes for the particular race make-up a "bunch of self-centred pricks" isn't very nice Wayne.......

Bully,
it is the ENTRY that gets the tickets. a two driver team is a two entry team.......
Another one of the foibles of the Club's preferred race format....

Wayne,
It is not just Silverstone. MSVR circuits have the same statement about BBQs in their terms. All circuits are getting much stricter in the enforcement of their H&S policies. Be thankful you don't have to prove you all have PL insurance (yet)
As for bring let in before 7pm, there is a Silverstone Circuits Test day (which is nothing to do with BARC) on the Friday. There customers for that have to vacate before 7pm to allow the competitors access to the paddock and garages. Again, MSV circuits have THE SAME policy in place on the Friday before the events on their circuits
The circuit is also REALLY focused on a little race series that is using the venue in a months time and is in it's build-up to that.....

Two things......

DO NOT set the BBQ up in any of the garages at Silverstone (or anywhere else for that matter) Please use the club "never-up"

Also, any new drivers to the circuit MUST attend a New Driver briefing at the time stated in the Final Instructions PRIOR to going out on the track. Failure to do so will attract a fine.....

Hope you apologised to Simon for that move in Honda..... :P

Races (not 24 hr) / Video Resolution

A friendly bit of advice.....

Not even a full F4 race video from ITV is as big as the video files you lot are recording! You do not need 4k 1080 movies......
