Races (not 24 hr) / Barbeque
April 23, 2024, 13:29:27
In a joint effort between Team Gadget and Tete Rouge there will be a Barbeque on Saturday night to mark the passing of Simon Scott a joint founder of Tete Rouge in 1989.
Known to most as Bas, some modifications we all use today can be attributed to him, 2 into 1 exhaust, sprocket flywheels, ported heads, I have no doubt some parts he made are still in use.

I see that on BARC website we are not down to race at Pembrey, is this just an omission on their part or are we indeed not going to Pembrey?

24h-Race / 30th Anniversary
August 24, 2020, 09:46:12
As it's the 30th running of the race i thought there would have been some recognition of this momentous occasion.

On this Anniversary can Uncle Roy repeat his victory of 30 years ago back in Mother, which is still in ECAS livery?

I reckon he stands a chance.

Technical / Drilling for a seal
March 25, 2019, 09:31:57
I notice in the board technical minutes that Steve Walford is going to bring drilled studs to the first meeting,i would like to point out these do not comply with the rule as written in the regulations which states Nuts and Bolts must be drilled and makes no mention of studs at all.
If you require drilled nuts use Rocker cover nuts for M7 and head nuts for M8, they are tall enough that the wire will pass through them without the stud getting in the way.

Races (not 24 hr) / Donington
July 08, 2018, 12:12:44
Having had a chat with Lien i looked at the paddock plan for Donington ,it shows us in garages 11 to 36 on Sunday and Britcar in garages 11 to 36 on Saturday. Not sure where that leaves those of us who were planning to go on Friday night.
It will also depend on all the Britcar competitors vacating the garages on Saturday.

24h-Race / Test Day
May 17, 2017, 20:29:39
It has been pointed out to me that the garages are being shown as available to rent on the friday test day on the MSV website .Are they not included in the race entry?

Entry Cost includes:
Testing for 24 hour class cars on Friday
Qualifying - 2 x 1 hour sessions on Friday evening
16 entry tickets for the weekend
Garage (may have to be shared), paddock space, reasonable electrical usage

Could someone from the board advise us if this is an extra cost please.

BACS payments to: Classic 2cv Classic Racing – sort code:206737 account number (Barclays account) 10352683
(Quote your name on the payment reference. Failure to do so will mean that your entry will be delayed (possibly beyond 1st
March) or may not be processed – the Club may charge an additional fee for unreferenced payments)
If you decide to enter more races later you may submit another one of these forms, The 24 Hour Race is a Championship Round, which
will require a separate entry form.
Please return completed form(s) to Chris Yates, 196 Wharton Road, Winsford, Cheshire. CW7 3AP, or by email to:
[email protected]
Meetings listed above will be held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association

Is it just me or don't these figures add up?
£210 x 8 = 1680
+£300     =£1980

Entry enbloc for all races (except 24hr race):
These are preseason discounts provided your correctly completed form with full payment has been received by 1st March. This
represents a saving of £187 for Eco class and £280 for Club Class

This should have made the enbloc figure for club class £1700 shouldn't it? That's £200 per entry if there were 20 entries that's £4000 and the sprints lost money! No wonder

24h-Race / Well done Team Lion
September 02, 2016, 10:56:08
i thought seeing as no one else had posted on here to say well done that i would.
Three years in a row, all prepared by the same team not two different teams is a herculean effort. To bring a brand new car not previously raced and win is something i don't think has ever been done before.
If i remember the conversation at the 2013 AGM correctly you are due a replica of the 24hr trophy to keep. No team deserves it more. Congratulations to you all.
