General Discussion / MalloryPark under threat
March 20, 2013, 09:19:07
You may know that Mallory Park Circuit is having problems with local residents objecting to noise and that the company that runs it say they cannot continue in business if they are limited to the number of uses a year that the County Council intends to impose on them. If they cannot use Mallory Park as a race circuit then sale for housing is the likely outcome.

The petition is a long way off the 100K signatures needs to get the Gov to take notice, so please add yours now!  See:

We cannot afford to lose one Race Circuit - once its gone its gone and in this 'enlightened' age there is no way another will be created in the UK

For sale / wanted / Race car for sale
March 18, 2013, 11:36:06
Having had enormous fun racing in the 24 hour, we have reluctantly decided to sell our 2CV race car.

It is as it left the circuit in 2010 having finished the 24 hour race and comes with four race engines and countless spares.

24h-Race / Thank you from Team 77
August 23, 2010, 22:42:31
Although this year we had more problems than in any of our three previous 24 hour races I think we probably enjoyed it the most. The atmosphere in the pits and paddock was really friendly and relaxed  and the friendliness and courtesy of the majority of the other drivers on track made it a really fun event.

Congratulations to the 2CV Racing Club for another superb weekend.

General Discussion / Crystal Palace

It was great to see David O'Keeffe's 2CV racer and 24 hour car at Crystal Palace yesterday, he put in some excellent times and the car looked superb.

Hi All,

I have just read this in the latest MSA newsletter. A good opportunity to promote the 2CVs in another forum.

MSA launches Go Motorsport TV
The MSA has launched GoMotorsport.tv, a free video site dedicated to UK club
motor sport footage.
The new site provides every club and major championship with an opportunity to
maintain its own customisable home page, onto which it can upload video footage
free of charge for all to see.
"It's similar to having a YouTube channel," said MSA Chief Executive Colin Hilton.
"The main difference lies in the collective power of bringing the clubs together under
one banner. The quality will vary from amateur to professional programming, but
that will be part of the attraction."
To register for the service, club officials should email [email protected] to request a
username and password, detailing the club name and personal contact information.

24h-Race / Publicity
July 18, 2009, 11:59:52
Bob Bull, Motoring Editor of BBC Three Counties Radio (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire), is going to give the race a plug next Friday, and he will send copies to a few other local stations and hope they use it.
I suggest that any of you PR-minded drivers out there gets in touch with your local BBC radio station and gives them some basic information. They are always interested in the local driver angle and there is a fair chance it can get some coverage for the event.

I didn't know where else to post this but a friend of mine suggested I should have a look at this link:

It's clever but a bit unkind!
