Well done to all concerned - Much more coverage than the BTCC achieved a couple of weeks ago!!

I would like to express to all the members of the Classic 2CV Racing Club, on behalf of all the Snetterton marshalling team, our sincere appreciation for the money collected at the post event BBQ after the 24hr meeting.

This amounted to a fantastic sum of £350 and really is a suberb gesture by the Club's members. Thank you all so much.

I will ensure that it will used in the most appropriate manner, for benefit of the Snetterton Marshals as I know that was the intention of the Club.

Once again, thank you for your fantastic support of the team in Orange!

For anyone that may be interested there is a thread with the aim of promoting the 2007 event amongst the marshalling community on 10 tenths, which can be found by clicking on the following link;

http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91265

I am promoting the meeting earlier this year, before all the other clubs send out their availability forms, with the intent of gaining additional numbers to assist and join in the fun before they commit elsewhere over the race weekend.

It's also extremely encouraging to see the positive nature of the various posts which is a credit to the atmosphere that the 2cv Racing Club members work so hard to create and certainly makes it a lot easier to obtain the numbers of marshals & officials we need to run the event.

Just a note to express the sincere appreciation on behalf of all the marshalling crews for yet another superb 24hr weekend and the entertainment and hospitality provided throughout the weekend, starting with the Friday hog roast etc and finishing with the after race raffle and liquid de-brief etc in Tyrrells on Monday evening!.

The atmosphere and teamwork from all involved whether as a competitor or a marshal was brilliant and we are already looking forward to the next one.

The comments from some of the marshals that helped out from other circuits for whom this was their first experience of the 2cv 24hour says it all- see the messages on http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82299

We would also like this opportunity to thank everyone who kindly contributed to the marshal's collection on Monday evening in Tyrrell's - the total was an amazing £200.72p.

As I stated this will be donated on behalf of the 2cv Club /24hr to the Motorsport Safety Fund, which will benefit the training of new marshals and help purchase safety equipment for rescue units etc.
Please click on  http://www.motorsportsafetyfund.com/  for more details.

Once again many thanks and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Just a quick note to wish all the teams; driver's, mechanics, helpers, friends and families, a fantastic weekend's racing.

Looking forward to meeting you all - hopefully not at the side of the track too many times though!

24h-Race / Thanks from Snett Marshals
June 01, 2005, 20:39:10
As a member of the Snett marshalling crew who were in Tyrrell's on the Monday evening after the event I would just like to pass on our sincere appreciation of the spontaneous gesture in organising the collection for the marshals. Also for the bottle of bubbly that was passed across to our
table.

As stated at the time, due to the fact that we obviously had assistance from several visiting marshals over the weekend we have decided to donate the £160.00 that you collected to the Motorsport Safety Fund, making it clear to them that it was due to the kindness of all the 2CV 24hour competitors and personnel.

Thanks Pete, Paul and everyone involved in the 24hrs - we certainly enjoyed it - best one so far at Snett. Please come back next year!
