Races (not 24 hr) / Pembrey Testing
April 27, 2022, 23:12:30
Hi All, I've just been in contact with Pembrey about extra drivers for testing on the Friday because when I booked testing there wasn't an option for an extra driver. They have got back to me and have said you can email the driver details to them for signing on Friday and then pay an extra £40 per driver on the day. Contact Tina Davies, office manager at Pembrey.

Hi, I purchased this system when i had to replace my 2.25L  and the company has been excellent, replacing parts with no charge etc and they last 12 years of service not 10.

Hi everyone, it looks like BARC have changed their minds again and we now don't have a green flag lap before we start a race, this must be to reduce time on track as other competitors have green flag laps. What's your opinion?

24h-Race / Re: Seat in 24hr at Snetterton
June 17, 2019, 12:30:12
Hi guys, I'm looking for 2 drivers, it's an arrive and drive package with Team ECAS car 33. We have had 2 second place finishes in 2018/19 and the car has consistently finished in the top 10 for the 24 hour race. There is full team support with the experienced Tete Rouge, full spares package, and catering with Team Gadget. £1750 includes light damage and wear and tear. Get in touch if you're interested. Glenn 07866166496 or message me.

Thanks

24h-Race / Re: 24 hour format

What happened to having different classes with different handicaps? Therefore everyone would have a fair chance at winning the race, regardless of class, making the race a lot fairer and challenging for everyone. If we did this we could invite all sorts of different cars/classes and ensure that the event was a success financially too.

24h-Race / Re: 24hour

Although work has played a part in my decision not to enter this years race, it was the loss of 2 team mates and the catering to another entrant that really put the lid on it! Apparently it was supposed to help put another car on the grid.

24h-Race / Re: Newsletter

It sounds to me like the latest additions to the board have already decided that there isn't a future for our classic 2cv! Maybe we should change the club name! I fear that the 2cv 24hr race will become the C1,Mini,Hybrid 24 race with the classic 2cv race club invited to tag along. I realise that the present board didn't make the decision to have this years race when they did, but the promise of cheaper racing has never been satisfied. The main reason I think for the distinct lack of entries this year is the ridiculous time and date it is and the increase in costs. If the board had the sense to sell the track time over the whole weekend to other racing clubs, that would subsidise the cost and allow us to have a Classic 2cv 24hr race with only 2cvs! I understand that the cost of running a classic 2cv has grown over the years, but people seem quick to blame the cost of car preparation, when I think a reduction in entry fees would bring more cars out......never felt the need to rant until now...

24h-Race / Catering at Anglesey 2016
April 28, 2016, 09:30:28
Hi All, I am looking for someone who would be prepared to share their catering with us at Anglesey this year. We normally share with Tete Rouge but as they are not entering this year I'm a bit stuck as I can't offer drivers places without being able to feed them! I should be able to help with a couple of helpers, but I do not have any equipment that might be useful. If you could help us it would be great and of course we would share any costs.

Thanks Glenn.

Races (not 24 hr) / Re: Croft
April 21, 2016, 02:24:19
San, I doubt if you will be allowed to refuel during the 2hr race, the cars should run for 2hrs without refuelling.

Chris, I am also still waiting for entry tickets. I'll be in the only one driving for the weekend.

Cheers Glenn.

General Discussion / Re: 2016 format
February 12, 2016, 01:42:08
I seem to remember the enduro at Croft costing £350 with the discount for early entry last year, so 20 min of track time should cost a little more than about £60,  but I think its a shame not to have one, I like to share with Matthew and its good for trying drivers out. What is the reason why we can't have one? Also any news on 24hr entry fees?

Cheers Glenn.

Is this just for championship points scoring?
