Yep, totally agree! It's great to get the chance for everyone to get together, to catch up with old friends and make new ones. This is one of the friendliest racing clubs there is!

I've posted my photos of the first corner incident to the racing club's FB page:

I'm sure Chris will put my pics on this site as a gallery in next next couple of days too.

Not sure what's scariest. 8 Nick Crispins, or his choice of surprise guest.... :-X

More lights/reflective stuff in general. Having taken night shots for many years, the reason I've put so many reflective bling on Stinky and Herbee is that otherwise even with a flash all you see is a couple of headlights and a number square. I'd love to see more cars with shiny bits.

We did have a backlit pit board. Forget the tecnnical term for them, but I saw one at a classic car show before last year and had to have one. Ebay etc have them in various sizes.

I'd rather they just banned bikes in the paddock (assuming they were talking about pushbikes). I've lost count of the number of times I've nearly been taken out by some kid blatting round from behind a camper van or something.

I've put my Cadwell photos on the club Facebook page and Chris will also be making a proper gallery on the main site at some point, but for anyone not on FB, my Saturday photos are here

Not necessarily, Frank. I've spoken to a lot of potential drivers in my search for team-mates. None of them have cited the location as a reason for not being able to make it. There have been family commitments, date clashes with their own race series, budget shortfalls (none of us are getting any richer and racing isn't getting any cheaper!) and problems getting the time off (Friday testing/qualifying can be a sticking point if your work isn't very flexible). Wherever the race is held, it's going to be inconvenient for *someone*. Some people have had 10 years of the luxury of having the race on the doorstep. Others have had to trek halfway across the country for the same number of years. But if 2CV racing is your thing, it's a sacrifice well worth making.

Having spent the past 10 24hr races on bacon sandwich and occasional spanner duty for Team Stinky, I've decided it's time to take the plunge and have a go behind the wheel myself. I have an offer of a car to rent and one other possible driver, but I need another couple more drivers and some pit crew/mechanics if I'm going to have a realistic chance of getting out there for the 24hr. Any volunteers/suggestions?
